The aim of windward mark rounding is to turn the boat from a close-hauled course onto a downwind course while sailing as close to the mark as possible. The boat control, trim and heel should all be used to help to turn the boat. This will allow you to maintain the maximum tactical options on exiting the mark.

You should aim to approach the mark on start-board tack, slightly above the lay-line with enough time to prepare the controls before you get to the mark, ease the kicker a little,next put the dagger-board up a little and ensure the main-sheet is free to run out without getting caught.
在靠近浮标前，你应该坐在右舷靠近浮标，使船行驶在方位线的上方一点，并留有足够的时间准备索具。松点斜拉器，接下来把稳向板往上提一点，并确保主帆缭绳在你绕出浮标前工作顺畅。
As you bear away, steer smoothly while easing the main-sheet, try to keep the boat flat or even heeling slightly to windward by moving your body weight out until back to the boat.
当你进行顺风偏转，平稳掌舵的同时，松开主帆缭绳，保持船身平稳或通过移动身体(重心)使船侧倾向上风侧，然后身体(重心)回撤。
Finally, settle down onto your new course, find you in control lines and set the dagger-board position, so it can maximize boat’s speed.
最后，专心进行新路线地航行，控制好索具和稳向板的位置，都能够使船以最快速度驶出。
